I can't even start the gratitudes without first telling about two of Grant's big events today. The first- I was outside holding Jack and talking to Mom and a neighbor. The neighbor starts to laugh, and I look over at Grant. Who has his britches around his ankles and is peeing in the front yard. I guess I was meant to be a mother to boys, because all I could do was laugh. Then at dinner, Grant's chair had been pushed away from the table since he was kicking it. Suddenly, I hear the trickle of water. Except, it wasn't water. I asked him, "Grant, what did you do?" He grins at me- "I peed." I had to turn my head so he would see me smile. Again, I was meant to be a mother to boys. Oh, don't think he didn't get a punishment. He got the grumpy mom for the very short rest of his evening while I hosed him down and put him in bed. No stories, no smiles, no fun bubbly baths. Boys and pee. My lot in life.
I am thankful that I laugh at my boys and pee.
I am thankful for my really big bed that I sleep well in, and that my boys all fit in at the same time.
I am thankful for the really cute and funny sound Jack makes a lot these days. He sounds like he's hyperventilating. He scrunches his face up and goes to town- adorable!
I am thankful for weekends where I get a lot of stuff accomplished and still have time to relax and hang out with Troy. Football in bed!
